VINTAGE STYLING and phased construction
A collector of unique beautiful things, this homeowner found the perfect home to display his collections. This rare Mission craftsman, in the heart of Minneapolis, was due for a refresh and expansion. A phased approach to construction allowed the homeowner to initially refurbish the existing bath, replace windows and fix up the existing exterior shell. Phase two added an owner’s bedroom with en suite bath, a gracious kitchen and mudroom. Creative engineering allowed for vaulted ceilings in the new kitchen and owner’s bedroom. Visual treats include vintage style cabinet door venting, reclaimed light fixtures, Spanish revival style range hood, stained wood shelving & beams and the fresh mint color of the base cabinets. The master plan will be complete when the added full basement will be finished to include a guest room, family room, ¾ bath & laundry space.
